VISION STATEMENT
Our vision for RCS and CMC began as a dream to reach out to the communities we serve, giving our communities and victims of sexual assault and their families understanding, hope and healing through education, advocacy and therapy. The dream became a reality in 1973 and has continued to evolve to include the opening of The Carmen Meza Center in 1997, where the dream also embraced the victims of domestic violence and their families in Firebaugh and Coalinga and the surrounding rural areas in west Fresno County.
The dream combined with the reality of what we have seen accomplished has become our vision for the present and the future. We seek to give the most comprehensive, culturally competent and compassionate services to the victims of these terrible crimes, so that they may become productive, well adjusted survivors.
We have a vision of educating the public regarding the truth about sexual assault and family violence so that in the future we can lessen the number of those who may become victims, suffering the traumatic perpetration of the crimes of rape, molest, incest, abuse and family violence.

MISSION
RCS - Resource Center for Survivors of Sexual Assault and Family Violence (formerly Rape Counseling Service of Fresno, Inc.) is devoted to the healing and empowerment of victims and survivors affected by sexual assault and family violence.

24 Hour Crisis Line, Counseling/Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Accompaniment, Court Advocacy and Safety & Prevention Programs, Volunteer Program and High School Violence Prevention Programs.
